Optomap:
Optomap is an exciting, brand new way of imaging the retina and the back of the eye without dilation. It is comfortable, quick and very simple. By looking into the Optomap Eyepiece the digital image of your retina is captured in less than a second. Nothing touches your eye. Your Optomap image is then immediately displayed for you and Dr. Frick will review it with you. Best of all the Optomap Retinal Exam does NOT require dialting drops which typically cause blurred vision and sensitivity to light for hours. The images are stored electronically and provide a permanent record of the condition of your retina. It is not covered by most insurance plans, but Dr. Frick recommends it to all of his patients for a supplemental fee of $35.

O2 Optix:
O2 Optix is a new silicon soft contact lens that provides 138 units of Oxygen through the lens. It has been an excellent lens for patients experiencing dryness with their older contact lens designs or problems with blurred vision later in the day. Ask for a free trial pair when you come in for your exam and contact lens fitting.
